It’s Your Life:

Your life is a ride, so ride it hard and fast.
Live fully every minute of every day.
And have memories, not regrets at the last.

You’re the lead actor with a chosen cast.
And life an unscripted part that you play
Your life is a ride so ride it hard and fast.

The scenes keep changing acts keep rushing past.
Some you can’t remember, while in some you want to stay.
And have memories, not regrets at the last.

Find yourself on a journey unsurpassed
An epic adventure as way leads on to way
Your life is a ride, so ride it hard and fast

Dream your dreams, do things, make your life a blast
Take the chance to live while it is today.
And have memories, not regrets at the last

Face each day with joy and never stay downcast
Bad times come, but chase them all away
Your life is a ride, so ride it hard and fast
And have memories, not regrets at the last.

A Memory

I am sitting in a cold and windy day

Looking at the bare and forlorn trees.

And the brittle grass, all grey and dead

Stiffly shivering against the winter breeze.

I think of you and then I feel a smile

Appear across my weathered face

Your memory takes me far away

To warmer days and to a different place

It seemed back then all the days were warm

And life was open, an endless road ahead

But time and circumstances led us apart

And one by one the roads were closed instead

Now you’re but a memory that brings

A smile to my face and warms my soul

Someone I once knew and remember still

A memory to cherish as I grow old.
